Alas, again I find myself in front of a computer preparing to write something that I hope will give you (my dear audience) some indication as to what my work is actually about; especially since it seems to have taken me the whole year to pin-point, hold-down, pigeon-hole or in other words to understand what my ruddy paintings are all about.

My current body of work explores the symbiotic relationship between objects and the kind of space(s) they inhabit and how this relationship, when transformed into a painted image becomes abstracted. Depictions of jars, perfume bottles, mirror reflections and various other clutter are set uneasily against a flat red void, creating odd stutters and punctuations throughout the space.

Each cluster is manic and shambolic in its arrangement - left free to ramble without interference. I am attracted to things which tend to be overlooked - objects that are uniquely integrated into our daily lives and the spaces they inhabit. Space informing objects and objects informing space.
