This body of work investigates visual perception through a series of optical devices, which survey modes of observation and encourage interaction, thereby creating transient and mimetic relationships between the artwork, the viewer and the space.

The viewer plays an imperative role in activating these works, which largely take on the form of installation. Colours and patterns are explored as a means of creating visual encounters or illusory spaces that test the boundaries of visual perception. The array of viewing devices are complemented by a series of kaleidoscopic images and videos, which fragment and distort space, creating an immersive field of vision around the viewer that transcends infinity. Together, the works play on modes of visual perception and are evanescent of a kind of visual wonderland.
