I explore geometric forms and push these to their physical material limits. Natural flora inspires me to merge two interrelated polarities; the organic and the geometric. In combination they result in a contrived created aesthetic where organic elements are synthesised beyond nature. Clay and wool are natural materials however my methods of working them, slip casting and needle felting, are unnatural. My creations are sculptural entities, some of which mimic organic growths of moss and grass. When placed on the body the formal qualities, precision and simplicity, gain another reading.
