The Interior Architecture program at Monash is all about exploring new spatial opportunities and designing profound experiences while being responsive to the contemporary environment. The design projects of this year’s graduating students range from speculative spatial imaginings to realistic and highly resolved propositions and are of various kinds: interpretative experiences, sensory worlds, work environments, temporary installations, mobile health units; design activist structures; bush fire community shelters. They all have in common a deep concern for the social and cultural dimensions of life – the human condition.
We are proud to see such engagement and skill in the 2014 graduating cohort’s design projects exhibited in this show and wish them all the best for their future.
Staff at Monash Interior Architecture also acknowledge the invaluable contributions that our sessional staff have made to help shape the program for what it is today. A thank you also to all our other sponsors of the program, department and faculty. This includes our always valued guest reviewers, our advisory panel members and other industry representatives and partners who have given their time and resources to support and augment the Monash student learning experience.
