These works explore the fragility, space and place of Melbourne’s cityscape with the perilous nature of the city’s economy in mind. These skyscrapers appear permanent and stable, but with the current financial uncertainty, many of the CBD's buildings are now being sold or altered. Their solidity and permanence is questioned.

An aerial view of the city, the vision from above, suggests that these structures are fading to insignificance within the rest of the city, losing their claims to space and solidity.

Printing from an etching plate, I make multiple copies from this matrix and use the images of buildings to build another type of space in my work. Through this repetition, the work repositions and composes a new and paradoxical view of the city and its chaos.
