This project explores the role of women in contemporary society (particularly in the history of film), and how this role is influenced by the mass reproduction and dissemination of images. While responding to art history and contemporary visual culture the work explores the role of the artist, and how gender influences the shaping of the work.  By sourcing web images and using contemporary office technologies the works comment on the fleeting nature of images and the disposability of mainstream media. The work has a variety of influences including the works of John Baldessari, Ian Burn, Cindy Sherman, Christian Marclay and Thomas Ruff.
