The models in my photographs are not meant to represent their state of mind or an impression of their personality. Throughout the procedure of taking photos, I came to realise the concentration of the model is very crucial to me. The long photographic tradition leads me from the documentation of an individual to the dramatization of an idea. My images suggest no hint of movement but a quiet stillness. The compositions of each photograph are cinematic like mystery, and the feeling of emptiness become so repressing so that it weights down the subject’s identity. I’m also aware of myself being obsessed with the beauty of adolescence, however, it seems boring just to pursue the typical idea of beauty. It is more challenging to look at the other side. I believe when you photograph a person, and you give them enough time, effort and special attention, they can become truly beautiful.
