Robinvale, a rural township of North West Victoria, is part of the Murray Darling Basin and one of Australia’s largest agricultural producers. Like many rural towns along the Murray, it has a population influx during summer which causes overcrowded accommodation. In winter however, there is a lack of recreational facilities for the community.

Nomadic Urbanism addresses the seasonal changes through programmatic transformation whilst creating a strategy to strengthen the urban connection and character of the place.

The programs aims are; to address specific lifestyle with suitable short stay accommodation and to provide civic space with synergies to existing facilities. My architectural moves are derived from affordability, flexibility and the spatial definition of private and public space on a small users scale and urban level. The project is an exploration into a methodology of architecture which responds to changing needs.
