MADA is located at the heart of vibrant creative precinct – an area of the Caulfield campus of Monash University that’s home to the renowned MUMA (Monash University Museum of Art) and to the MADA Gallery and Student Gallery. The precinct is deeply connected to the national and international art and design communities, creating a dynamic atmosphere of dialogue and exchange.
MADA’s own gallery is a showcase of work by, and teaching aid for, MADA students and staff. MADA Gallery exhibits solo, group and curated shows by academic and professional staff, local, interstate and international artists and curators and hosts artist-in-residency programs.
The Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA) is the perfect place to seek inspiration and immerse yourself in contemporary art. The Museum is located in a purpose-built facility next door to MADA and others a unique view on the recent history of contemporary art and culture. The Ian Potter Sculpture Court acts as a transition point from the internal spaces of MUMA to the daily life of the campus and broader community.
